After the bleeding, I can go from 5 to 20 miles w/o a problem. Apr 11, 2007 · alright, so ive got a 1999 Kawasaki Prairie 400 4x4. I bought the quad about a week ago, everything worked great other than the fact it had no rear brakes. I went to go out and play in the mud a bit this weekend, and fell thru some ice into a swamp, just over the bottom of the running boards, the quad continued running and never died. Unplug it and check the wires for power. One should have power. If neither has power with the ignition on then check the fuses. If one does have power then jump it to the other. If the fan comes on, the temp switch is bad. If it doesn't, with the wires still jumped, check for power at the fan.
