Cold start problem. Bought an 03 500, 5,000 miles, back in 2011. Now has 15,000 miles, but has always been difficult to start on cold mornings. Had the carbs out twice, cleaned and adjusted, and the engine runs fine. But the enricher (choke) has never worked. Pulling the enricher out during cold weather does nothing.I always shut the Vulcan down in neutral due to the key being down on the clutch side. Seen to many guys use the kill switch to shut down and forget to turn the key to off and deplete the battery. Found that the gray wire on the ignition switch only had 1 volt on it.
