I have only had issues with the port if I get fuzz and lint and junk like that in my phone charging port, as long as I keep that clean I havent had any issues.Let me know if you have tips. OnX and Gaia have not been working very well lately with CarPlay. They don’t sync with my location. I will try another cord but my cord works fine for I phone 7 users and apply car play works for them in my Jeep. But iPhone 8 is not.
